Winter League End of Season Report
Rileys Cue are the Parkside Electrical Stafford Sunday Pool league Champions 2008/09. They finished on the same points as Rileys A but claimed the title by virtue of most matches won, 16 wins to 15. The Cue ran out 6-2 winners at the Rickerscote A and with the Rileys A being comfortable 7-1 winners over the Emerald Club. Making it a successful season for the Cue men were Dave Barker (capt), Rob Wharne, Mike Barker, Dave Whitfield and Kev Brown. Giles Eastwood (capt), Dave Arrowsmith, Dave Richardson, Gav Davies, Lee Whitehouse and Adam Lilburne represented Rileys A. Giles Eastwood claimed the most wins with 36 singles wins. Rileys Rebels achieved 3rd place even though they lost 5-3 to Rileys C. Tap A escaped relegation by virtue of most wins with a 4-4 draw at home to St. Georges while the Three Tuns went down with the Rickerscote A.
