3rd division Red Rum reached the Semi Finals of the subsidiary team knockout. They overcame 2nd division side Highfields Club B 4-3 to secure their place. Nathan Scott Mullen, Tom Anderson and Ant Doughty (2) all won for the Rum. Matty Simpson (2) and Dave Rose won for the visitors.
The Kennys Cue came away with a 4-0 win at luckless Hop Pole D. Dave Whitfield, Martin Priestley, Dave and Mike Barker all won for the Cueists.
Metro Bar A also secured a place in the semi finals with an identical score at the GPO Club B. Warren Jesney, Dave Ashton, Andrew Palin and Alan Farrow were the winners.
Institute Islanders had to come back from 2-0 down to win 4-2 against 3rd div Princess Royal A. Alan Alldritt (2), Sean Alldritt and Chris Broomhall all won. Chris Steadman and Josh Saunders replied for the visitors.
